On Ward: Will compete for playing time on the forward line her playing time has increased each season she has been at Maryland her speed in both games and practices add an important dimension to the team.

1998 season: Scored her first collegiate goal against Penn on Oct. 20 played in 13 games, starting four times tallied an assist against Temple on Oct. 23 named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) National Academic Team named to the ACC Honor Roll.

1997 season: Saw playing time in 11 games named to the ACC Honor Roll and the NFHCA National Academic Team.

1996 season: Gained playing time in seven games named to the ACC Honor Roll and the NFHCA National Academic Team.

1995 season: A redshirt season named to the ACC Honor Roll and the NFHCA National Academic Team.

Before Maryland: An all-state selection and a Maryland all-star as a senior at Centennial High School named the 1994 All-Metro Player of the Year by the Baltimore Sun named All-County and All-Academic by the Howard County Times as a senior.

Personal: Born June 7, 1977 parents are Jerry and Janice Ward an engineering major.
