Todd Hobin is in his ninth season as Maryland's director of video
services. Hobin's video expertise allows him to service the Terps'
football program from his state-of-the-art lab in the Gossett Team
House.
Hobin and his staff videotape all of the Terps' football practices
and games and then employ a sophisticated editing system to break down
the footage for use by the coaches.
Prior to being named the Terps' director of video services, Hobin
was on the coaching staff at Cornell for three years (1989-91). During
his stint with the Big Red, he helped coach the running backs and served
as the freshman team's offensive coordinator. In 1990, the Big Red won
the Ivy League championship. Before joining the Cornell staff, he served
on the staff at Ithaca College as an assistant defensive backs coach and
defensive coordinator for the junior varsity. Ithaca captured the 1988
Division III national championship.
A native of Holland Patent, N.Y., Hobin graduated cum laude from
Cortland State, where he was a three-year letterman at running back and
punter. Hobin transferred to Cortland State from Hamilton College, where
he spent one season as the team's starting free safety.
Hobin and his wife, Candice, have a son, Bryce.
