As a member of the ICA Business Office, this position will assist in providing financial and accounting support to the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Responsibilities include providing financial information to Associate AD for Business by researching and analyzing data and generating reports; investigating problems related to accounts, budgets, expenditures, and/or procurement; perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and reports as assigned; process State and/or Foundation accounts payable, purchase requisitions, and miscellaneous payment requests (MPRs) for equipment, supplies, and services; process and distribute checks for reimbursements, cash advances, and official payments through the department working fund; and review and/or process financial documents ensuring that transactions are accurate and complete, reported with acceptable accounting standards, and in accordance with University, State, UMCP Foundation, Conference, and NCAA policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in accounting, finance, or a related business discipline. Candidate must have three (3) years of experience in accounting and/or finance. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills and demonstrated knowledge of standard accounting principles, methods, and applications, knowledge of computerized information systems used in financial and/or accounting applications, and a working knowledge of MS Excel spreadsheet software to quantify and illustrate routine financial reports, statements, and/or projections. Master's degree preferred. Experience with Kuali Financial System is preferred.
