The Recruiting Assistant is responsible for gathering information on all high school prospects with the permissible resources available; updating the recruiting database (OT Scout, ACS); conducting recruiting research and preparing statistical reports; creating weekly informational reports relative to the recruitment process for prospective student-athletes; monitoring recruiting recaps during the spring and winter recruiting periods; assisting with campus tours and all on campus recruiting events; assisting with the coordination of securing and analyzing transcripts for selected prospects in collaboration with Compliance and Admissions staff; staying abreast of NCAA, Big Ten and University rules and regulations pertaining to initial eligibility and recruitment; creating video content for recruitment strategies; and providing additional support in the organization and administration of the football program's recruiting efforts as directed by the Recruiting Coordinator and/or the Head Coach.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree desired. A minimum of one year of experience in a sports management or related field required. Must have outstanding communication and organizational skills. Must be available to work evenings and weekends. Bachelor's degree preferred. One year of experience in a college athletics environment preferably at the NCAA FBS level.
