COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland softball team will play seven games over a three-week span encompassing its 2014 fall schedule, which head coach Courtney Scott Deifel announced Tuesday.
The slate features five games at the Maryland Softball Stadium and a doubleheader at nearby George Washington. Scott Deifel's squad use the contests as a tune up for the spring schedule.
The Terps begin play on Sept. 20 at George Washington, taking on the Colonials before facing off with Shepherd University later the same day.
On Sept. 27, the Terps will begin their fall homestand with games against Towson and Hampton. The following Friday, Maryland will welcome George Mason to the Maryland Softball Stadium for a doubleheader.
The fall season ends on Oct. 5. The Terps will play Georgetown followed by a return matchup with George Washington.
