The Assistant Director Human Resources, will provide excellent customer service to all ICA (Department of Intercollegiate Athletics) employees through timely, accurate dissemination of information particularly as it relates to benefits, tuition remission, PRDs, development opportunities, payroll and timesheets; cultivate employee confidence by ensuring confidentiality and securing all documentation; coordinate employment searches; monitor provisions and dates within employment contracts; coordinate employee training and development opportunities; coordinate the Performance, Review and Development (PRD) documentation for ICA; coordinate the annual Open Enrollment of Benefits for staff members; prepare various staffing and financial reports as requested; update employee information for ICA electronic directories; provide support to the Payroll Coordinator and the Director of Human Resources in ICA with the processing of the biweekly payroll for all categories of Department of Intercollegiate Athletics employees; maintain official personnel records according to Federal, State and University rules and regulations; and perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. A minimum of two years of experience in a combination of human resources, payroll, and/or accounting. The successful candidate will be organized, detail oriented, possess strong communication skills and have the ability to set priorities, handle multiple assignments and deadlines, and display good judgment while operating in a flexible and professional manner. Experience using the university's software such as PHR, ARES, Elf, eTerp and WOW reporting software is preferred.
