KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - Freshman Ludovica Farina led the Maryland women's golf team on day one of the Palmetto Intercollegiate at Turtle Point Golf Course.

Farina shot par (72) in the first round to tie for 19th. Senior Heidi Baek followed Farina with a +5 (77) to tie for 68th.

Panitta Yusabai finished day one with a +9 (81) while Brooke Kochevar (82) posted a +10.

Freshman Ludovica Scandroglio wrapped up action for the Terps with an 86.

Maryland resumes play Monday morning with second-round action from Turtle Point beginning at 9:15 a.m.
