COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The University of Maryland has announced increased security measures for all future Maryland Athletic Events, which will include the men's basketball game against Georgetown Tuesday night at 9 p.m. and the football game against Indiana Saturday at noon.

For Tuesday's men's basketball game, doors will open for students at 6:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. for general attendees.

Fans should plan on leaving early for the game to avoid long lines as additional security measures will be in place the remainder of the season.

All persons and their belongings are subject to search. Fans are permitted to bring small bags up to 8" x 11" x 12" in size to the arena. All other bags, including backpacks, will not be allowed. Guests are encouraged to return unauthorized items to their vehicles. The University of Maryland cannot safeguard items which are not permitted into the arena.

Fans attending the game can enter via gates A and B on the second level, gates C and D on the ground floor and gate E by the Terrapin Trail Garage. Students can enter the game through gate F. Security measures will take place at all gates.
