COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Junior left tackle Michael Dunn and senior running back Brandon Ross have been named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten, as announced today by the Big Ten Conference. In total, seven Terps earned All-Big Ten honors, including the five defensive players announced Monday.
A former walk-on, Dunn (coaches HM) anchored a Maryland offense that averaged better than 180 rushing yards per game for the first time since 2003 – a span of 12 seasons. He helped pave the way for a 100-yard rushed in 7-of-12 games, including a 250-yard performance for Ross against Indiana. Prior to missing last Saturday's game to injury, Dunn had started every game since the start of the 2013 season (37 consecutive games).
Ross (media HM) capped off a spectacular career with 423 rushing yards and six touchdowns over his last two games as a Terrapin, propelling himself into fourth on Maryland's all-time rushing list with 2,543 career yards – the most since LaMont Jordan. Among his four 100-yard rushing performances in 2015 was an inspiring 250-yard, three touchdown effort against Indiana on Senior Day.
Ross and Dunn are joined on the All-Big Ten team by Terrapin defenders William Likely, Yannick Ngakoue, Quinton Jefferson, Jermaine Carter, Jr. and Sean Davis.
