INDIANAPOLIS - Juliet Vongphoumy led the Maryland women's golf team on day one of the Big Ten Championship Friday at Fort Golf Resort.
Vongphoumy, a senior from Providence, R.I., had a one-over par, first-round tally of 73 to finish tied for 17th on the day.
Jessica Gregory finished tied for 41st with a 76. Heidi Baek and Brooke Kochevar each ended round one action with a 79 to tie for 63rd while Panitta Yusabai and Alexandra Papell each shot an 80 to tie for 67th.
Maryland returns to action Saturday morning for second-round action from Fort Golf Resort.
