HANAHAN, S.C. - Panitta Yusabai led the Terps on day one of the Cougar Classic, hosted by the College of Charleston, Sunday afternoon.
Yusabai shot a +3 (75) in her first round of the 2015-16 campaign. The junior is tied for 47th heading into Monday's action.
Senior Heidi Baek posted a +4 (76) to tie for 59th after first round play. Freshmen Ludovica Farina and Ludovica Scandroglio notched a 78 and 79, respectively, in their first action as Terrapins.
Brooke Kochevar finished with an 81 to wrap up play for Maryland.
The Terps return to the course Monday morning with an 8 a.m. tee time.
