CHICAGO – The Maryland Terrapins will host the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday, Oct. 3 in both teams' first Big Ten Conference game of the season, and BTN is bringing its show on the road. Both the 10:30 a.m. ET and evening editions of BTN Football Pregame will broadcast from just outside Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium in College Park, Md., with kickoff set for 8 p.m. ET. Kevin Kugler will handle the play-by-play duties for the game, with Matt Millen providing analysis and Lisa Byington reporting from the sideline.
Host Dave Revsine and analysts Gerry DiNardo and Howard Griffith will anchor the network's on-site studio presence. A number of special guests are scheduled to appear on site, including Maryland head coach Randy Edsall, former Terrapin and NFL linebacker Shawne Merriman, Maryland men's basketball coach Mark Turgeon and former Wolverine and NFL defensive back Marcus Ray.
Students and fans are encouraged to attend the broadcast and will receive complimentary food, shirts, foam fingers, rally towels, and poster-making materials*. A DJ will be on hand for entertainment, and two giant LED video boards will feature the best games and analysis of the day. Fans interested in attending should arrive to the set outside the stadium by 10:00 a.m. ET, with BTN Football Pregame airing until noon ET. For the evening BTN Football Pregame, fans should arrive by 6:15 p.m. ET.
Fan parking is available at the College Park Metro Station for the morning pregame show (10 a.m. – Noon). Shuttle service from the Metro to campus will start at 9 a.m. In addition, the campus parking lots will open as scheduled – six hours prior to kickoff.
“BTN Football Pregame, presented by Auto-Owners Insurance, will originate from the set outside the stadium, and the Buffalo Wild Wings Halftime Report and The Final Drive segments will take place from a second BTN set on the field. BTN halftime and postgame shows for the day's other games will also include reports from the crew at Maryland.
