COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland safety Anthony Nixon and offensive lineman Andrew Zeller will play in the inaugural Tropic Bowl All-Star game on Sunday, Jan. 17th at North Miami Athletic Stadium in Miami, Florida.
Nixon started all 12 games for the Terps in 2015, ranking third on the team with 82 tackles. He also tied for the team lead with three interceptions.
Nixon had his best game against Michigan, posting a career-high two interceptions to go along with seven tackles and a forced fumble against the Wolverines.
Zeller started all 12 games for a Maryland offense that averaged better than 180 rushing yards per game for the first time since 2003. He helped pave the way for a 100-yard rusher in 7-of-12 games, including a 250-yard performance for Brandon Ross against Indiana.
Nixon and Zeller join Sean Davis (Senior Bowl) and Quinton Jefferson (Senior Bowl) as Maryland players playing in postseason contests.
