COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Former Maryland football standout Stefon Diggs was named to the Professional Football Writers Association (PFWA) 2015 All-Rookie team after a stellar debut season with the Minnesota Vikings.
Diggs finished second among all NFL rookies with 720 receiving yards despite being inactive the first three games. He led the Vikings in both receiving yards and receptions (52) in his first year.
The Gaithersburg, Maryland native (Good Counsel) hauled in four touchdowns in 2015, including a pair of TD grabs in a 38-17 win over rival Chicago in week 15. Diggs made at least six receptions in each of his first four games and posted 100-yard receiving performances against the Chiefs and Lions in consecutive weeks.
Diggs was named Second Team All-Big Ten as a junior at Maryland in 2014. He led the Terps in receptions (52), receiving yards (654) and receiving touchdowns (5). He was selected in the fifth-round (146th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft.
