Terps Roll Out Red Carpet for Team Celebration

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland football team and its supporters gathered to hold its annual team celebration and awards reception on Saturday night at the Grand Ballroom at the Stamp Student Union. 

After walking the red carpet into the ballroom, guests enjoyed a photo booth, game station, strolling magician and more.

The voice of the Terps, Johnny Holliday, started the evening off with opening remarks and was followed by each coach presenting the awards.

Below is a list of each award winner:

Ray Krouse Memorial Award (MVP): Perry Hills
Special Teams Player of the Year: Kenneth Goins Jr.
Defensive Player of the Year: Jermaine Carter Jr.
Offensive Player of the Year: Ty Johnson
George C. Cook Memorial Award (senior with highest GPA): Adam Greene
George Boutselis Memorial Award (letterman with highest GPA): Avery Edwards
Dr. John E. Faber Iron Man Award: D.J. Moore
James M. Tatum Memorial Award (Lineman of the Year): Michael Dunn
Public Service Award: Maurice Shelton
A.V. Williams Award (outstanding & conspicuous sportsmanship): Teldrick Morgan
Alvin L. Aubinoe Unsug Hero Award: Chandler Burkett
2016 Team Captains (voted on by players): Jermaine Carter Jr., Michael Dunn, William Likely III, Roman Braglio, Perry Hills

The Terps are set to play in the 2016 Quick Lane Bowl against Boston College. The game will kickoff at 2:30 p.m. on December 26 at Ford Field in Detroit.
