SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico - Alexandra Papell led the Maryland women's golf team as they finished day one tied with Big Ten foes Michigan and Purdue Sunday at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic.

Papell shot an even par (72) and is tied for 12^th.  Freshman Ludovica Farina shot a two-over (74) and is tied for 32^nd.

Panitta Yusabai (77) and Brooke Kochevar (79) are tied for 61^st and 69^th, respectively.

Rookie Ludovica Scandroglio posted an 80 and sits at 76^th.

The Terps kick off round two of play on Monday morning.
