COLLEGE PARK, Md.—The Maryland women's golf team is set to compete in the fifth annual Web.com Intercollegiate Tournament, beginning Monday.
The Web.com Intercollegiate will take place in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., at the Marsh Landing Club House on Monday, April 4 through Tuesday, April 5. The participants will play a total of 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday.. The Marsh Landing Club House is a par-72, 5,967 yard course.
The field includes one team ranked inside Golfweek's top 25 women's golf teams in the country, which is Missouri, that comes in at 23rd. The rest of the field consists of 14 teams, which include: Jacksonville, Campbell, Chattanooga, Cincinnati, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, Daytona State, Maryland, Mercer, Middle Tennessee State, North Florida, Sam Houston State, South Florida and Toledo.
Junior Alexandra Papell is coming off a Briar's Creek tournament in which she had team-low scores on for all three rounds. She will look to continue her strong play next week.
