Terps, USA Sweep Series with Chile

LANCASTER, Pa. - Former Terrapins Katie (O'Donnell) Bam and Jill Witmer helped the U.S. Women's National Team to a three-game series sweep over Chile this week at the Spooky Nook Sports Complex, the home of US hockey.

Team USA won the first match, 2-0, Saturday.

In Tuesday's second game, Bam redirected a shot in the 37th minute for Team USA's second goal. The U.S. would go on to win 2-0.

In the third and final match Thursday evening, Chile took the lead with a score in the 11th minute. It was Chile's only goal of the series.

Bam tied the game seven minutes later to make it 1-1 and to score her second goal of the series. Witmer tipped in the game-winner off a pass from Michelle Kasold in the 51st minute.
