The Director of Recruiting Operations would be responsible for gathering all academic information for high school prospects identified by the coaching staff within the permissible resources that are available. Responsible for securing and analyzing transcripts for selected prospects in collaboration with Compliance and Admissions staff. This individual is responsible, working with campus, on communicating all eligibility information to the coaching staff. This individual must stay abreast of NCAA, Big Ten and University rules and regulations pertaining to initial eligibility of a prospective student athletes. The Director of Recruiting Operations, with assistance from the Director of Player Personnel & Director of Recruiting, is the point person in regards to setting up coaches' travel (flights, rentals, hotels) and all official visits travel for prospective student athletes. The Director of Recruiting Operations is responsible for scheduling and implementing all aspects of an official visit weekend along with any other duties as assigned by the head coach in regards to recruiting.
This Director of Recruiting Operations will be the direct liaison with business office personnel regarding all ticketed flights for both the coaching staff and prospective student athletes coming to campus on official visits. This position must be knowledgeable on all NCAA, Big Ten and campus rules and regulations regarding athletic camps both on and off campus. The Director of Recruiting Operations, in conjunction with the Director of Recruiting and the recruiting coach, will be the primary point of contact regarding enrollment procedures leading up to a signees first day of class.
Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of 3 years recruiting experience. Strong organizational skills. Experience with travel reimbursements and travel itineraries scheduling.
Background in state travel policies. Has an understanding of high school student transcripts and the ability to review and interpret to college admissions.
Background in NCAA rules and regulations. Solid experience with compliance, recruiting and admissions.
