ROSEMONT, Ill. – Sophomore Sarah Holliday of the sixth-ranked Maryland field hockey team (5-2, 1-0 B1G) was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career Tuesday.
The goalkeeper from Clarksville, Md. had a career day Saturday in helping the Terrapins to a 4-1 win over Indiana in their Big Ten opener in College Park. She made a career-high eight saves, including five in the second half as the Hoosiers threatened to even the score.
Maryland will travel north to take on No. 13 Princeton (3-2) Tuesday at 6 p.m. The Terps and the Tigers will play at Princeton's Bedford Field.

Maryland is ranked No. 6 in the latest Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I Coaches poll, released Tuesday morning.
The Terrapins will stay on the road after Tuesday's game. They will play at No. 15 Iowa (3-4, 0-1) Friday at 4 p.m. ET and at No. 11 Northwestern (6-2, 1-0) Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. Both games will be streamed online through BTN2Go.com.
