COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland women's golf team travels to Greenville, S.C. for the Lady Paladin Invitational Friday.
The three-day tournament will take place at the Furman University Golf Course (Par 72, 6,313 yards) and participating teams include Augusta, Daytona State, East Tennessee State, Furman, Georgetown, Georgia State, Illinois, Kennesaw State, Mercer, Middle Tennessee State, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico, Ole Miss, Texas, Tulsa, UNC Wilmington, Virginia Tech, and Wofford.
Maryland set a first round program record with a one-over par performance in its season opener at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Sept. 12-13 in Knoxville, Tenn. The Terps tied for fifth as a team, defeating nationally-ranked opponents Wake Forest and North Carolina.
Freshman Xiaolin Tian led the Terps, tying for fifth in the individual standings (69-71-72/212).
Tian, Panitta Yusabai, Ludovica Farina, Ludovica Scandroglio, Lauren Salazar and Sydney Mills will compete for the Terps.
