The Assistant Athletic Trainer will be responsible for the day-to-day sports medicine/athletic training operations for the Men's Lacrosse team and Track and Field team to include prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of student-athletes; pre-participation physicals; maintaining medical records; completing required insurance claims; daily interaction and communication with coaching staff, athletic trainers, and administration; attending team practices and events; manage functional movement assessments, corrective exercises, and injury prevention programming; assisting with administrative duties; and performing other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, or related field/concentration required. Minimum of three (3) year of experience as a certified Athletic Trainer providing health care for intercollegiate and/or professional athletes required. Strong organization, administrative and communication skills. Maryland board of M.D. licensing or eligibility.
Master's degree in a related field preferred. Previous athletic training experience with Men's Lacrosse athletes preferred. Experience with assessment and interpretation of relevant preventive screening and recovery practices for Men's Lacrosse and Track and Field athletes preferred.
