COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Maryland (2-14, 0-9 B1G) will conclude its 2016-17 dual match schedule on Saturday when the team takes on Rider (11-1, 5-1 EWL) and Drexel (11-6, 7-3 EIWA) on the road.
The Terps will first be in action in Lawrenceville, N.J. at 3 pm for a dual at Alumni gym with the Broncs. The match will be broadcast on Broncvision.
Following its match with Rider, Maryland will make the 45 minute drive south to Philadelphia take on the Dragons at 7 pm in Daskalakis Athletic Center. The match with be streamed live via Drexeldragons.com.
A Look at the BRONCS
- Rider has put together a successful campaign of dual match competition in 2016-11, going 11-1 overall and 5-1 in the Eastern Wrestling League.
- The Broncs currently sport three InterMat Wrestling ranked wrestlers in the lineup, including All-American and #5 Chad Walsh. Walsh is 25-2 this season and finished as the runner up at the Midlands Championships in December.
- #18 B.J. Clagon (18-5) and #13 Ryan Wolfe (15-4) are also ranked in their respective weight classes, and will be the frontrunners to win EWL titles at their weight classes in the coming weeks.
- The Broncs will first wrestle Princeton on Thursday before facing the Terps.

A LOOK AT THE DRAGONS
- Drexel enters Saturday's match 11-6 on the year with a 7-3 record in the EIWA. The Dragons are coming off a tight 18-16 loss to Rider on Feb. 11, but rattled off four straight wins over Oregon State, American, F&M and Hofstra in their four matches prior.
- Three Dragons are currently ranked inside the top-20 in their weight classes, including #11 Kevin Devoy Jr. at 133 pounds. Devoy Jr. is 16-6 on the season and a two-time NCAA qualifier.
- #18 Mtthew Cimato (149) and #17 Joey Goodhart (285) have also put together successful seasons for the Dragons, each coming into the weekend with at least 20 wins.
- The Dragons will wrestle their final match of the season Sunday at Penn.

TERPS PLACE FIVE AT WARRIORS WINTER OPEN
- Maryland's open tournament wrestlers turned in a solid day at the 2017 Warriors Winter Open hosted by East Stroudsburg on Sunday, February 12. The Terps had five placers overall, highlighted by second place finishes from freshman Brandon Cray (125) and redshirt freshman Jahi Jones (157).
RAPPO, BANNISTER REMAIN IN 2ND NCAA COACHES' RANKINGS
- Two Maryland wrestlers were ranked in their respective weight classes in the second NCAA coaches' panel rankings for the 2016-17 season released Friday. Redshirt senior Billy Rappo (133) redshirt sophomore Alfred Bannister (149) were both ranked in the top-33.
- The final rankings will be one of the tools used as part of the selection process to determine the qualifiers for the 2016 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships.
- Wrestlers in each weight class will be measured by winning percentage, rating percentage index (RPI) and coaches' rankings to earn spots in their qualifying tournaments for the 2017 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships.
