COLLEGE PARK, Md.- The Maryland football team hosted its 2017 lettermen's tailgate at the Gossett Team House following the Spring Game on Saturday.
Terrapin football alumni joined head coach DJ Durkin and staff for dinner immediately after Durkin's squad took on each other at Maryland Stadium to wrap up their spring season.
“It's always great to have our former players and alumni on campus,” said Durkin. “The support they offer for our program is tremendous and it was great to see so many return for our Spring Game.”
Among those in attendance was Redskins defensive tackle and former Maryland standout A.J. Francis.
“It's a great event,” said Francis. “Getting to see a bunch of guys I haven't seen in years. Catching up with guys and making more connections within the Maryland football fraternity. There are a bunch of people here and a bunch of people I haven't seen in years. Today was a great day.”
Alumni of all years in the Terrapin fraternity mingled and shared stories about their playing days while talking about this year's team and the bright future of Maryland football.
