Part-Time Strength and Conditioning Coach

The University of Maryland is accepting applications for a Part-Time Strength and Conditioning Coach (20 hours/week). This position will assist the strength and conditioning program with duties that include, but are not limited to, providing weight room supervision, program implementation for designated teams, and reporting on individual and team progress; providing instruction in safe and correct execution of all training parameters: proper movement preparation, power development, free weight exercises, speed development, plyometric training, energy system development, injury prevention and sport specific training, and maintaining NCAA compliance.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a related field is required along with current certification in one of the following: National Strength & Conditioning Association C.S.C.S (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist), Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association S.C.C.C. (Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified). A minimum of 1 year of demonstrated experience in the strength and conditioning field, as well as current CPR/First Aid/AED certification, is required. Additionally, this position requires effective verbal and written communication skills and the availability and willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Exercise Science or a related field; a minimum of 1 year of demonstrated experience in the strength and conditioning field at the NCAA Div. 1 level; experience designing and implementing collegiate strength and conditioning programs for multiple teams and demonstrated experience with player monitoring, reporting and data analytics are all preferred.

Salary: $12.00 per hour; no University benefits; work hours per week: 20.
