IOWA CITY, Iowa – Maryland (4-3, 2-2 Big Ten) fell to No. 19 Iowa (6-1, 3-1 Big Ten), 23-0, on a windy Saturday at Kinnick Stadium.
Facing their third ranked foe of the season and second in the past three weeks, the Terps could only compile 115 total yards of offense. The Hawkeyes rushed for 224 yards and held the ball for nearly 41 minutes.
Ty Johnson totaled 59 all-purpose yards in the game, moving him passed Stefon Diggs into third all-time at Maryland in career all-purpose yards.
Tre Watson put forth another strong game, hauling in his fourth interception of the season, tying him for the second most picks in a season by a linebacker in school history.
Watson also posted double digit tackles for the fifth straight game, leading the Terps with 15.

Adam McLean (7) and
Byron Cowart (7) all set new career highs in tackles.
With Watson's pick, Maryland now has 13 on the season, the most interceptions for a Terps team since 2010 (19).
Maryland returns home next Saturday to host Illinois. The game is set for a 3:30 p.m. kick and can be seen on BTN.
