Terps in the NFL: Week 8

Former Terrapin wide receivers DJ Moore and Stefon Diggs came up big this week for their respective teams as the NFL regular season approaches the halfway point.

DJ Moore led the Carolina Panthers to victory over the Baltimore Ravens in a career-best game for the rookie. Moore made five receptions for 90 yards, his most in a single game, and rushed for an additional 39 yards. His most impressive play of the day came in the second quarter when he turned a fumble into a 28-yard gain. Jermaine Carter Jr. added one tackle on the day to defeat the Ravens 36-21.

Sunday night, Stefon Diggs posted an impressive 119 yards on 10 receptions. He caught one touchdown on the evening, bringing his season total to four, and led all Vikings receivers in their 30-20 loss to the Saints.

Sean Davis and the Pittsburgh Steelers were victorious in a division matchup with the Cleveland Browns. Davis posted 5 tackles to boost the Steelers to a 33-18 victory.

Dexter McDougle returned to NFL play this week with the Philadelphia Eagles. His three tackles helped the Eagles top Yannick Ngakoue and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Ngakoue totaled a sack on the day, two tackles and an additional five quarterback hits.

Vernon Davis and the Washington Redskins hit the road Sunday to take on division rival New York Giants as the Redskins stayed hot in a 20-13 victory. Davis had one reception for 21 yards to help the Redskins rise to 5-2 on the season.

The Seattle Seahawks defeated the Detroit Lions 28-14 with Quinton Jefferson posting one tackle.

JC Jackson and the New England Patriots defeated the Buffalo Bills Monday night 25-6 with Jackson recording two tackles.
