Head Equipment Manager

The Head Equipment Manager is responsible for managing and supervising the day-to-day operations of a Department of Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA) Equipment Room designed to serve the needs of the department's 20 varsity teams, to include but not limited to, all ordering, budgeting, issuing, collecting, maintaining, and recording all information in regards to equipment in accordance with all University, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations; specifically responsible for the management and supervision of apparel and equipment for all assigned sports; and other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in an athletic equipment unit or related environment. Certification by the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA) or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of start date required. Proven ability to manage and complete multiple projects in a timely manner; ability to fit and repair protective equipment, knowledge of laundering and spot removal along with strong organizational skills. Available to work evenings and weekends.

Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in an athletic equipment unit or related environment, preferably at the NCAA Division I level. Experience working with football, basketball and/or lacrosse teams is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office and ACS Inventory System is preferred. Knowledge of NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations concerning equipment purchase, issuance, retrieval, and disposal preferred. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
