LINCOLN, Neb. – The Maryland volleyball team dropped a road match on senior night at No. 6 Nebraska, 3-0, on Saturday.

Senior outside hitter Liz Twilley posted four kills in the first set to lead the way as Nebraska used a mid-set run to take a large advantage that Maryland could never work back into, dropping it 25-13.

Pritchard hit an effieicent .286, posting three kills on seven swings in the second set as Maryland fell 25-10.

The Terps out-blocked Nebraska 5-3 in the third set with Myers getting all three of hers and Pritchard and Jones each knocking down two. After they were down 9-4 early, Maryland cut the lead to 11-7 and then won three straight points by way of a Jones kill, Jones and Pritchard block and junior setter Samantha Snyder ace to make it 15-13. The Huskers responded with a 3-0 run of their own. Maryland eventually dropped it 25-18 and the match 3-0.

Tonight's match concludes the regular season, where Maryland finished 18-14 with a program best 9-11 record in the Big Ten. The Terps won nine matches in road gyms and 12 in total away from home, beat a ranked opponent (#15 Michigan) on the road for the first time in program history, swept three Big Ten opponents: Iowa, Ohio State and Rutgers and finished their season winning every match in their last 11 not against a top-10 opponent.

Maryland will learn their NCAA Tournament fate on Sunday night during the Selection Show, which will air on ESPNU at 8:30 p.m. If the Terps earn a bid, it will be their first NCAA appearance since 2005.
