COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Each week during the 2017-18 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week. This week's Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week is Xiaolin Tian of the women's golf team.

Sophomore Xiaolin Tian led the Terps at the Big Ten Championships, continuing her excellent performance Sunday and finishing the tournament tied for second in the individual standings with a five-under 211 (72-67-72). The Terps went shot for shot with Michigan State Sunday as they vied for first in the 2018 Big Ten Championships at TPC River's Bend, ultimately finishing tied for second with a one-under-par team score of 863 (288-280-295).

The Terrapins' T-2nd performance marks their best showing in the Big Ten Championships since joining the conference, notably better than their ninth-place performance in last year's tournament. All of the Terps finished in the top half of the individual standings.
