Director of Strength and Conditioning

This position will lead the Olympic Sports strength and conditioning unit in the development and management of individual and team performance enhancement programs for 17 NCAA Division I athletics teams. The primary function of this position will be to oversee the Olympic strength staff and deliver comprehensive, practical and evidence based strength and conditioning strategies for at least two Olympic sports that foster an environment for performance enhancement, injury prevention, recovery, and reconditioning. The Director will serve as an integral member of the Athletic Department's multidisciplinary Sports Performance Team directly communicating and collaborating with head coaches, strength and conditioning coaches, team physicians, athletic trainers, sport dietitians, physical therapists, sport psychologists and other exercise science and allied health personnel. Other duties as assigned by the Associate Athletics Director for Sports Performance will be contingent upon experience and qualifications.

Bachelor's degree required. Must have a minimum of five years of collegiate or professional strength coaching experience. Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) or NSCA, CSCS certifications required. First Aid and CPR/AED certification required. Ability to work in a team-based environment. Must be able to work flexible hours as required including early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Travel required.

USAW Certification; A Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Physical Education, Sports Psychology, Health Performance).
