COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Each week during the 2018-19 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week. This week's Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week is Linnea Gonzales of the field hockey team.

Senior tri-captain Linnea Gonzales helped lead No. 3 Maryland to a pair of wins over ranked teams with her strong play leading the Terps' midfield unit this weekend. She scored key goals in each game.

Against No. 12 Delaware Saturday, she brought the ball into the circle and created her own behind the back shot for a goal that gave Maryland a 3-0 lead. Against No. 17 Harvard, Maryland trailed 1-0 in the first half. She tied the game in the 30th minute with a rocket shot off a penalty corner. She played all but three minutes in the pouring rain. With her leadership in the midfield, the Terps are 7-0 and off to their best start since 2013.
