Director of Compliance

The Director of Compliance works cooperatively with Athletics Department staff, coaches, student-athletes, prospects, and various constituents outside the Athletics Department to ensure compliance with NCAA and Big Ten regulations. This position serves in a valuable role as part of the Athletics Department and contributes to the overall progression of its compliance services. Responsibilities include: oversee admissions and initial/transfer eligibility for prospective student-athletes and continuing eligibility for returning student-athletes; assess admissibility of prospective student-athletes; serve as the primary compliance contact for several sports including the women's basketball team/staff; draft and submit NCAA waivers and reports; interpret NCAA and Big Ten rules; collaborate in monitoring administration of institutional and outside financial aid; coordinate NCAA rules education programs for administration, coaches, support staff, student-athletes, and booster groups; work with others in developing and implementing policies and procedures; and other duties as assigned.
 
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of NCAA Division I compliance experience required. Must demonstrate outstanding administrative and organization skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy. Must be able to set priorities, coordinate multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write well and present compliance-related information to various constituents. Must possess a high degree of integrity.
 
Master's degree preferred.
