COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland women's golf program signed Patricie Mackova to a National Letter of Intent head coach
Diana Cantu announced Wednesday.

Mackova, a native of Prague, is a two-time Czech International Junior Champion, winning the 2017 and 2019 titles. She finished the 2019 season ranked first in the U18 category in the Czech Republic.

"I am extremely excited to have Patricie join our Terrapin family," head coach
Diana Cantu said. "She is a smart and talented young lady who will make an immediate impact on our team. Her length off the tee is a strength of hers, but she is also great around the greens. Patricie will develop into a phenomenal college player here at Maryland. Her results in international play both in amateur and in professional events have been impressive.

Mackova went four under par and tied for 12
th at the TIPSport Czech Ladies Open in August. She also tied for sixth and went four under par as well in the Amundi Czech Ladies Challenge. She helped the Czech team finish fourth in the European Girls' Team Championship in 2018.

Mackova plays at the Prague City Golf Club. The team finished third at the Czech Team Championship.
