Emma DeBerdine were recognized by the league.

Maguire was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year and Keus was voted Defensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season by the league's head coaches. Maguire, Keus and DeBerdine were named to the All-Big Ten First Team.

Maguire led the Terrapins with 12 goals and 10 assists for 34 points this season. She scored game-winning goals against No. 25 Penn State, Michigan State and No. 8 Iowa. The Terps' win over the Hawkeyes clinched the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten Tournament.

Seven of Maguire's 12 goals came against Big Ten opponents. Maguire was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week twice this season and was a unanimous selection to the All-Big Ten First Team. In her career, Maguire has scored 34 goals with 28 assists for 96 points.

Keus was also named Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2017. Keus scored four goals with five assists, while making two defensive saves this year.Â

Keus helped anchor the Terrapins' defense to seven shutouts this season, including three straight in October over No. 3 Connecticut, No. 8 Iowa and Indiana. Keus and the Maryland defensive unit lead the Big Ten and are second in the nation in goals against average (0.85).

DeBerdine has started in all 18 games so far as a freshman, tallying seven goals with five assists. She scored four of her goals in Big Ten play, including the game-winner in double overtime at No. 5 Northwestern last month.

Maryland will head to State College, Pa. this week as the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten Field Hockey Tournament. The Terrapins earned a first round bye.

Maryland will take on either fourth-seeded Michigan (13-5) or fifth-seeded Penn State (6-11) Friday at 4 p.m. in the Big Ten Semifinals at the Penn State Field Hockey Complex. Michigan and Penn State play in the Big Ten Quarterfinals Thursday at 11 a.m. For tickets, click

The Terrapins fell at No. 9 Michigan, 1-0, on Oct. 18. They beat No. 25 Penn State, 3-1, in College Park on Sept. 20.

The Terrapins finished 7-1 in Big Ten play this season to win the Big Ten regular season title. Maryland has won 26 conference titles, including the 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2019 regular season titles since joining the Big Ten.

The Terps took last year's Big Ten regular season title and won the Big Ten Tournament title with a 2-1 win over No. 8 Iowa in the final. They are 11-3 all-time in the Big Ten Tournament.
Maryland won three straight games to end the regular season. Most recently, the Terps won at American, 1-0, last week.
