ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Maryland closed out the second day of competition at the Big Ten Indoor Track & Field Championships in Ann Arbor, Michigan with some strong performances.
Cheyenne Jones kicked off the day for the Terps, getting points on the board and finishing on the podium. Jones placed seventh in the 400m, crossing the line in 55.52. She came back later in competition on the 4x400m relay.
Next, Leah Blackall continued her excellence in the triple jump by taking sixth place amongst a strong field. Blackall's mark of 12.33m (40'5.50") scored more team points for Maryland.
Mikella Lefebvre-Oatis also represented the group in the field, competing in the high jump.
Maryland's 4x400 relay squad of Cheyenne Jones, Destiny Ward, Thaila Cooper and Venida Fagan wrapped up the weekend of competition. The group rallied to take home seventh place with a time of 3:44.17.
