Taylor Okada of the softball team.
Freshman second baseman Taylor Okada continued on her tear, continuing to take college softball by storm and going 7-13 (.538) at the plate, knocking in four runs and hitting the first home run of her collegiate career and her fourth double of the season. Okada also scored a team-high four runs and stole one base on the weekend.
Okada currently paces the Big Ten with 30 hits on the season and ranks third in the country only trailing Florida's Amanda Lorenz and Georgia Tech's Breanna Roper (31) - also leads all freshman in the country. She also increased her season batting average to .448 which ranks second in the conference and currently maintains a nine-game hitting streak and has reached home in all nine games.
