COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Student-athletes, coaches and teams were honored Monday for their prowess in academics, community service and athletics at the eighth annual Terp Awards, which were co-sponsored by the Terrapin Club and the 'M' Club. The 2019 Terp Awards were held at the Dekelboum Concert Hall in the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center on campus.

Men's soccer was named the Terrapin Cup Team of the Year, men's soccer's Donovan Pines was voted as the most outstanding male student-athlete, field hockey's Linnea Gonazales was named the most outstanding female student-athlete, football's Anthony McFarland, Jr. earned the most outstanding male freshman and women's basketball's Taylor Mikesell was named the most oustanding female freshman. Sasho Cirovski was named the male coach of the year and Missy Meharg was named the female coach of the year.
