Assistant Athletic Trainer

The Assistant Athletic Trainer will be responsible for the day-to-day sports medicine/athletic training operations for assigned sport(s): to include prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of student-athletes; pre-participation physicals; maintaining medical records; completing required insurance claims; daily interaction and communication with coaching staff, team physicians, athletic trainers, and administration; attending team practices and events; manages injury prevention programming; assisting with administrative duties; and performing other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, or related field/concentration required. Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a certified Athletic Trainer providing health care for intercollegiate and/or professional athletes required. Strong organization, administrative and communication skills. Maryland board of M.D. licensing or eligibility.
 
Master's degree in a related field preferred. Previous athletic training experience with collegiate volleyball and/or tennis student athletes preferred. Experience with assessment and interpretation of relevant preventive screening and recovery practices for collegiate volleyball and/or tennis student athletes preferred. Available to work a flexible work schedule to include some evenings, weekends and holidays.
