COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Rising sophomore
Hannah Bond of the Maryland field hockey team is playing with the England Under-21 squad in series against Germany this week at Loughborough University.
Bond and the English team fell to Germany, 4-0, Thursday in the first of three games. They will play again Friday and Saturday.
Bond was on the U17 team. Bond won a gold medal at the 2016 U18 Futures Cup with the Saxon Tigers and at the 2016 U17 UK School games with England Red.Â
Expanding the Terps' international competition, 11 members of the Maryland field hockey family will compete in USA Field Hockey's Young Women's National Championship June 14-18 at the Spooky Nook Sports complex in Lancaster. Former Terrapin Carrie Hanks and 10 current Terps will be participating.Â
