COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The University of Maryland football team dropped its Big Ten opener to No. 12 Penn State, 59-0, on Friday night at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium.
The game was played in front of 53,228 fans, the sixth largest crowd in Maryland Stadium history and the largest crowd since 2011 when the Terps hosted West Virginia.
Maryland falls to 2-2 overall and 0-1 in Big Ten play, while the Nittany Lions remain undefeated at 4-0 overall and 1-0 in conference play.

Maryland will play its first confernce road game of 2019 next Saturday when the Terps travel to Rutgers for a noon kick on BTN.
