The Director of High School Liaison and Player Engagement will report to the Director of Recruiting Operations. The Director of High School Liaison and Player Engagement is responsible for the cultivation of recruiting areas; serves as the liaison to high school coaches working within the framework of all NCAA rules and regulations; gathers information on all high school prospects with the permissible resources available; secures and analyzes transcripts for selected prospects in collaboration with Compliance and Admissions staff; updates the recruiting database (Hudl, XOS Scout, XOS Thunder) and daily logs; collaborates with the planning and execution of the twelve (12) month vision of the recruiting calendar (mail, video, graphics, social media: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.); organizes and participates in all recruiting functions; conducts recruiting research and prepares statistical reports; creates weekly informational reports relative to the recruitment process for prospective student-athletes; monitors recruiting recaps during the spring and winter recruiting periods; stays abreast of NCAA, Big Ten and University rules and regulations pertaining to initial eligibility and recruitment; and provides additional support in the organization and administration of the football program's recruiting efforts as directed by the Director of Recruiting Operations, Director of Player Personnel Operations and Assistant Athletic Director of Football Operations. The Director of High School Liaison and Player Engagement will assist in football operations and player development with elements such as team travel, player roster administration and player character development, and will perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree required. A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a sports management or related field required. Must have outstanding communication and organizational skills. Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Master's degree preferred. Experience in Physical Education, Kinesiology or related field.
