ANN ARBOR, MI -- The Maryland women's soccer team (4-8-5, 0-6-3) dropped their season finale against Michigan in overtime, 2-1.
After conceding a goal in the first half, the Terps came out in the second half and immediately got on the board thanks to a
Mikayla Dayes goal coming from distance. Goalie
Liz Brucia was busy in the game, making four saves in the first half alone. Six more Brucia saves, including a diving one in the 66th minute and a subsequent defensive save from
Alexis Hogarth kept the game tied at one, and sent the game into overtime. Michigan would immediately gain possession and put a shot past Brucia just 30 seconds into the extra session, ending the Terps' season.
