IOWA CITY, Iowa – The 13
th-ranked Maryland field hockey team shut out No. 2 Iowa, 1-0, Friday afternoon in a defensive duel at Grant Field. With the win, the Terrapins (6-3, 4-2 B1G) won their fourth straight match.

Maryland held Iowa (9-2, 5-2) to just one penalty corner in the game. The Hawkeyes took 10 shots to the Terps' five. Senior goalkeeper
Noelle Frost made five saves to lead the defensive effort.

The Hawkeyes took six shots in the second quarter and four in the third as they threatened to score. Frost made three of her saves in the second and two in the third.

Missy Meharg said. "This is a tough place to compete. Just so proud of the women. They've been playing better and better. It was nice to have a bye weekend.
