COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The second-ranked Maryland men's lacrosse team (7-0) continues Big Ten regular season play Saturday when the Terrapins head to Ann Arbor, Mich to face Michigan (2-5) for the second time this season.
The Terps dispatched Michigan 20-9 when the teams met on February 20. UMD moved up to No. 2 in both the USILA Coaches and Inside Lacrosse National Polls this week.

Jared Bernhardt made history this past weekend, becoming Maryland's all-time scoring leader with his second goal of the day in a 17-10 win over Penn State. The Tewaaraton Award candidate has now tallied 159 career goals as a Terp, and moved into second all-time in career points with 234. He was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season for his efforts.

Maryland is currently the most efficient shooting team in the country, scoring on an incredible 40% of its shots. The Terps are led by the sharpshooting of Daniel Maltz (64.9%), while Kyle Long (47.6%), Jared Bernhardt (45.9%) and Logan Wisnauskas (45.5%) are all shooting over 45% on the season.
- Maryland has never lost to Michigan, holding a 7-0 advantage in the all-time series between the two schools, which began in 2014. The closest game between the two programs came in 2016, when the Terrapins edged the Wolverines 8-7 in Ann Arbor.
- Maryland has put together eight different runs of six or more goals this season, and at least one 6+ goal run in every single game. The Terps longest scoring run came against Johns Hopkins, totaling 11 straight goals between the 2nd and 4th quarter in an 18-10 victory.

Maryland is off to a 7-0 start for the first time since the 2014 season, tying the best start to a season for John Tillman during his tenure at Maryland. A win over Michigan would give Maryland its first 8-0 start to a season since the 2004 campaign.
