HOW IT HAPPENED
- After three straight scoreless innings, Indiana got on the board first after a homer to left field and a double brought the Hoosiers up 2-0
- Maryland answered back with two runs of their own in the bottom of the same frame, with a single from Abbatine and an error on the defense bringing Regan Kerr and Ruby Butler home to tie things 2-2
- The 5th inning was a defensive battle on both sides, with each team retiring in orderÂ
- In the top of the 6th, the Hoosiers loaded the bases and a single to center field sent one home to top the Terps 3-2
- Maryland held Indiana scoreless in the top of the seventh, but couldn't capitalize off a runner on firstÂ
Maryland finished 19-25 overall, and notched two wins over ranked opponents this season.
