Ava Morales' first two goals of her collegiate career lifted Maryland women's soccer to a 3-1 win over Purdue in its season finale on Sunday afternoon. It was the Terrapins' third Big Ten win of the season, continuing their best season in the conference since 2019.
Morales, a Clarkville native and Atholton alum, scored twice in the first 30 minutes to lead Maryland to a 2-1 advantage at halftime. Graduate student
Alyssa Poarch netted her fourth goal of the season during the 65th minute. Goalkeeper Emily Wegener made three saves for the Terps, holding the Boilermakers to one goal.
