EVANSTON, IL – The Maryland wrestling team lost 29-7 to Northwestern on Sunday afternoon in Welsh-Ryan Arena. The Terps (5-11, 0-7) won two bouts on the day with
Dominic Solis and No. 13
Kyle Cochran picking up victories for Maryland.
Solis picked up a big victory at 174-pounds as he upended No. 28 ranked Troy Fisher. Solis was in control for most of the match and was able to fend off the ranked Wildcat late to secure the decision victory.
At 184-pounds, Cochran picked up a dominant 12-3 major decision victory as he attacked Northwestern's Jon Halverson early and often to go along with stingy defense.
