Terps Wrap Up Spring As Red Defeats White, 14-3

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – On a sun-splashed Saturday afternoon as part of Maryland Day, the Red Team defeated the White Team, 14-3 in Maryland football's annual Red-White Spring Game at Capital One Field and Maryland Stadium.

The game marks the end of the spring season for the Terps, after 14 practices prior to the game.

"With this being the 15th practice, we feel like we've come out and done some things," Head Coach Michael Locksley said. "It wasn't perfect out there, but I do like the way we competed on all three phases. I look forward to getting back together here."

Maryland fans got a glimpse of the 2022 season with the potent combination of Taulia Tagovailoa and Jacob Copeland on display. The Terps' signal-caller was 9-of-14 for 144 yards with one touchdown as 70 of those yards went to Copeland, who had five catches.
