COLLEGE PARK, MD - Less than two months remain in the 2022 Premiere Lacrosse League season, time to check on the Terps.
The Whipsnakes LC lead the league with a 5-1 record led by notable Terrapins Matt Rambo, Michael Ehrhardt, Kyle Bernlohr, and more. They're seeking a third PLL Championship and a fourth consecutive trip to the Championship game.
Across the league, our Terps have their marks, including at the recent 2022 All-Star Game.
Canons
The Cannons boast a trio of Terrapin rookies: Jonathan Donville, Bubba Fairman, and Matt Rahill. Fairman has seen the most action of the group with four points on three goals, plus 11 GB. Jonathan Donville has two points in two games since joining the squad midway through the season.
On defense, Rahill has forced a turnover and grabbed six GB in three games.
Chrome
Tied for second in the league with four victories, the Chrome continue to impress throughout the 2022 season. Logan Wisnauskas is second on the squad with 18 points (14G, 4A) while Colin Heacock has been a weapon from the midfield with four points.
At the All-Star game, Wisnauskas posted six points to lead Team Farrell before participating in the accuracy challenge postgame. He continues to lead all rookies in goals this season.
Defensively,
Jesse Bernhardt and
Nick Grill have excelled with a combined eight CT and 17 GB this year.
Waterdogs
Winners of three consecutive games, the Waterdogs kept their streak alive last weekend in an 11-10 overtime thriller over the Chrome. Connor Kelly was the hero on Sunday with the game-winner. He finished with three points in the game and has 15 throughout this season.
A fellow Terp in the midfield,
Jake Higgins has five GB in five games played this summer.
Whipsnakes
Boosted by Terrapins across the roster, the Whipsnakes boast the league's best record. Matt Rambo leads the Whipsankes, and is tied for eighth in the league, with 18 points. At the All-Star game, Rambo had two points for the winning Team Baptiste.
At LSM, Michael Ehrhardt has four CT and 17 GB as one of the most consistent at his position across the league.
Rookie Keegan Khan has also contributed four points in his three games played.
Mike Chanenchuk has 12 points out of the midfield while Bryan Cole owns ten. At the All-Star game, he assisted Wisnauskas on a beautiful behind-the-back assist.
Defensively, Tim Muller, Bryce Young, and Matthew Dunn have boosted the Whipsnakes. The Terrapin trio has combined for seven CT and 26 GB.
Kyle Bernlohr owns the league's third-best save percentage with a 56 percent rate. Bernlohr won the 2022 Goalie Challenge after making nine out of 12 saves at Gilette Stadium to take home the crown for the second straight year.
